The Fulton Opera House is located in the heart of the city of Lancaster, PA.  Sometimes referred to as the Fulton Theatre or simply The Fulton, the Fulton Opera house was built in 1852 and is reported to be the oldest working theater in the United States.  It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1964. Robert Fulton, the famous Lancaster, PA steam engine pioneer and is the statue likeness that is portrayed in the Fulton Buildings front façade. The theater is named after him.

A very unique theater in Lancaster, PA is the Sight and Sound Theatres.  Sight & Sound Theatres is an entertainment company that produces Bible stories live on stage. Sight and Sound has a long history dating back to 1976.  In 1976, Glen and Shirley Eshelman rented the auditorium at Lancaster Bible College to present 10-week multimedia show The Wonder of It All.  It was a huge success.  They built the original Sight & Sound Auditorium (renamed to Living Waters Theatre) on Rt 896. The current building, the Sight & Sound Entertainment Centre opened in March 1991.

The American Music Theatre in Lancaster PA is a 1600 seat theater.  If you want to see original musical productions and celebrity concerts, the American Music Theatre is the place to visit.  They host over 300 live concerts and performances each year.  And, because of this volume of entertainment, there is something for everyone at the American Music theater stage.  The seating offers wide aisles, seats are incredibly comfortable and have a lot of leg room.  The American Music Theater is a favorite to many Lancaster PA residents and a definite draw to many tourists.
